About Us

We want Albertans to go home safe. Period.

AUSA was founded on decades of hands-on field experience across oil and gas, pipelines, mining, earthworks, construction, and everything in between. It was built by people who have worked alongside Alberta's workers — and who believe they deserve better training, a higher standard, and an association that actually understands the work.

We started with a simple belief: safer job sites build safer communities. That belief drives everything we do.

What We're Here For

AUSA exists to serve Alberta's workers, supervisors, and companies with practical education and support that makes a real difference — not just on paper. We offer training that translates directly to the job site, certifications that mean something, and ongoing support that helps companies build a culture of safety from the ground up.

We want every worker to go home safe. Every supervisor to feel equipped. Every company to have access to the tools and knowledge they need — regardless of size, industry, or budget.

That's not a tagline. That's why we exist.

Our Values

Field-First — Every decision made through the lens of someone on the job site, not a boardroom.

Higher Standard — Our certification pass marks sit above industry average. On purpose.

Accessible — Online, in-person, hybrid. English and Spanish. We meet people where they are.

Community-Driven — Non-profit. 10% donated. We win when Alberta's workers go home safe.

Where We Give

As a non-profit, 10+% of AUSA's revenue is donated annually to Albertan charities. This is built into our operating model — not a campaign.
